PROBLEMS -------- DriveMan Manual Installation Instructions ----------------------------------------- If you cannot install DriveMan with the supplied "Setup" module, please use the following procedure to do so: 1) Create a folder where you want to install DriveMan. 2) Extract DRVMANxx.ZIP to the newly created folder. Do not use the contents of the folder from your failed installation attempt. The files in that folder can no longer be used (and should be deleted). 3) For each file that has an underscore ("_") as the last character of the extension, change the underscore to one of the following values: ex_ = exe hl_ = hlp tx_ = txt dl_ = dll 4) Move (not copy) CTL3D32.DLL to your system folder, which is usually named "c:\Windows\System". If there is an existing copy of "CTL3D32.DLL" in your Windows folder, which is usually named "c:\Windows", rename it to "CTL3D32.BAK". You must have only one copy of this file on your system, and it must reside in your system folder. 5) DriveMan is now installed on your computer. This method of installation does not allow you to automatically uninstall DriveMan, but you could do so manually by erasing the DriveMan folder that you created in the first step. NOTE: You should never remove CTL3D32.DLL. It can be used by other applications, and removing it may cause them to cease functioning. The version of CTL3D32.DLL is the most recently released version that will work with Windows 95. There is a newer version (2.26) which will *only* work with WindowsNT.
