INTRODUCTION
============


     Welcome to Color Wizard, a door game for ALL BBS'.  This game is one
     where players try to match the computer's color pattern, color for
     color, similar to the old Simon game of the early 1970's.

SET-UP
======


     The first thing you'll need to do, if you haven't already, is to
     download a copy of the file COLOR.KEY.  This is the file needed to
     run this program in ANY mode (including LOCAL mode).

     This door uses MicroSoft QuickBASIC library BRUN45.EXE to operate.
     I have made this door as "Murphy-proof" as I possibly could.  This
     shareware demo version has a time bomb in it.  To those SysOp's that
     feel that time bombs are unfair, I counter with the fact that the
     first three door releases of mine were all without any time bombs at
     all and now, after over 300 downloads of those programs, I have
     exactly 13 paid registrations.  My time and effort are valuable to
     me and my company and therefore, we tried it without time bombs and
     it didn't work, so now we try it WITH time bombs and see how that
     goes.

     As a suggestion for getting user's help in registering doors, one local
     SysOp here has a unique idea - Adopt A Door.  Users select which door
     they wish to "adopt" and then send in the registration fees to the SysOp.
     We at Crystal feel that this is a unique and worthwile concept.

     This version is a complete working copy of the registered version.
     Other than that, I have also included the file CREATEC.EXE.  Use this
     file to create the DOORxx.BAT or LIVExx.BAT file needed to call the
     game from Wildcat and also create the file COLOR.CFG tailored to your
     BBS.  All you need to do is to create the directory where the program
     will be run from (Ex: D:\WILDCAT\DOORS\COLOR), then move ALL of the
     files included in this .ZIP into that directory and then type CREATEC
     and follow the instructions and prompts.

CLOSING

     In closing, let me say that I hope that you and your users enjoy this
     game as much as I did putting it together.  I welcome comments or 
     suggestions on how to make this or other programs released by myself
     better.  This program will work with a locked DTE up to 19200 and has
     been tested as such on several systems.  It should also be noted that
     COLOR.EXE runs with CATPATCH version 3 released by Jim Brewer and is
     available on Mustang Software's Wildcat! BBS for registered SysOps and
     on several other BBS' around the country.  COLORV3.EXE runs with a
     derivative of CATPATCH version 3 called DOOR PATCH, modified by
     Crystal Systems International to run with Wildcat Version 3 and with
     other BBS'.  DOOR PATCH is not yet available for general release.

     Crystal Systems International is always looking for good ideas for
     door programs.  If you have a good idea that you would like to see
     made into a door, drop us a line at our mailing address with as much
     information on your idea as possible.  If we make it into a door,
     the person who sent the idea in will get a FREE REGISTERED COPY of that
     door program!
