Product Overview The CYMA series of computerized accounting modules have been designed for general business accounting (PAS III and Client Accounting) as well as products tailored to specific vertical markets (MPM - Medical and DPM - Dental practices). The applications emphasize ease of use and multi-user access. Accounting systems in include General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Inventory and Order Processing and Job Control. Installation The machine on which the system will be installed must be configured as a LANtastic server. Installation is accomplished from floppy disks. Install the System Manager first followed by the individual accounting modules. Insert system manager software disk #1 in the floppy drive and from the floppy prompt type: INSTALL Review the displayed notes and respond to the installation prompts. Upon completion of the installation, you will be presented with a configuration menu. Complete options A through C then select F (Multi-User Options) and designate the network as LANtastic. To install additional accounting modules, Q(uit) from the configuration menu and respond Y(es) to install more CYMA modules. Configuration For multi-user use, be sure to load the DOS SHARE program on the PAS Server before starting the LANtastic network. The minimum recommended SHARE parameters for the PAS Server are: SHARE /F:2730 /L:(Greater of maximum number of users or 30 ) Access to PAS III from a LANtastic workstation To use the accounting package from a LANtastic workstation (or the PAS Server acting as a workstation), perform the following steps. Assign an available drive letter as the redirected drive (P: is used in this example). Net Login \\ Net Use P: \\\C-DRIVE\PASIII P: CYMA4L Report Printing Before starting the accounting package, issue the NET USE command through the operating system to establish a printer connection. For example: Net Use LPT1 \\\@PRINTER Network Disconnects If a network disconnect occurs but the connection is reestablished before Net BIOS time-out, the application recovers completely.
