Version 2.01 ============ Version 2.01 introduces a better On-Screen Help system. The last two lines on the Filelist Screen now summarize the majority of the commands available. (The alt-key combinations are not listed.) The highlighted letter in each word indicates which key to press. Version 2.1 =========== Version 2.1 introduces the Explore Filenames function. This function allows you to search filenames for a string of characters. Whether the string occurs in the beginning, middle, or end of the filename, LAST will find it. This is more flexible than DOS, which only allows you to use beginning letters to find files. Press E to display the Explore Filenames dialog box. Type in the string you are seeking and press . It is not necessary to type the * or ? wildcards. If LAST finds a filename containing the string, it will display that file on the top of the screen. You can repeat the search by pressing +. (These instructions are also found in the updated manual.) The other enhancement in Version 2.1 is a change in the upper-left corner of the screen. This corner of the screen displays the copyright notice until you press a key. After you press a key, LAST displays the number of the highlighted file. For instance, if you pressed down-arrow, it would show "File # 2". Or, if you pressed PgDn, it would show "File # 20".
