RNWinQwk Beta Version 1.0 by David Sarkozi 4625 N. Braeswood #206C Houston, Tx 77096 September 1992 RNWinQwk is a small utility that renames your QWK mail packets by calculating the julian date for the day the packet was created and renaming with the julian date as the extension. This version does not save the MWK files, but WinQwk will create a Mxx file if you use the packet with the julian date extension without renaming it. HWINDOWS.qwk created on 9/27/92 will become HWINDOWS.271 and will create the bookmark file HWINDOWS.M71 RNWinQwk is designed to work with the WinQwk QWK mail reader for Windows 3.X. RNWinQwk searched your path, assuming that the Windows Directory will be in the path, for WINQWK.INI. RNWinQwk looks up the current packet directory in WINQWK.INI If you want to use RNWinQwk for another reader try this. Create a text file with an editor like NOTEPAD with the name WINQWK.INI. Enter a line like this: PacketDir=[path] where [path] is the path to your QWK packets. While I don't think that RNWinQwk will do any harm, the user in no way holds the author, me David Sarkozi, responsible. This is a Beta version, use at your own risk. On the bright side, in writing and testing this application I damaged no packets or .INI files. Registration I'm releasing this as shareware. If you find yourself using RNWinQwk after a two week trial period please send $10 to me at the address above. Please include any comments and suggestions. Any registerd users will receive the final release of this version with the nag screen removed. If you want to reach me you can find me at the Houston Windows BBS (713)-996-7439 FidoNet Node 1:106/64.
