A.N.A.R.T.S. News Bulletin 848 5th March 1995 Well, those of you from NSW, and visitors from other states, who attended the Central Coast Field day last weekend -- how did you enjoy it? The quotes I have heard for attendance ranged from 2200 to 2500 -- no doubt we shall hear from the Central Coast Club in due course as to the real attendance. I must congratulate the club on the manner in which it ran this year's Field Day. After the traffic problems of last year, it was extremely well organised with traffic diverted to a side entrance of the racecourse, keeping the centre of the town free from a traffic jam. Inside the course all was run well also, with security guards in the Disposals hall to prevent pilfering; with good results, I hope. I was doing a video report of the field day and almost didn't get my camera out of the hall -- should have had a sticker on it, I suppose. All in all, it seemed to go like clockwork, except personally, I think it should be a dry occasion but I suppose the catering suppliers must call the tune there. There are so many who drive by necessity that this should be considered for next time. All those in the flea market come under that umbrella, as do those who put items in the Disposals, and, of course, the buyers. -- And it was a hot day ... Congratulations again to the Central Coast Amateur Radio Club, and we'll see you there again next year. -------------------------------------------- IPS WEEKLY REPORT ----------------- 24 FEBRUARY - 02 MARCH DATE OF ISSUE: 3 MARCH 1995 INDICES: DATE 24 25 26 27 28 01 02 10CM 83 83 86 88 91 90 90 A 2 1 11 20 22 25 (22 ESTIMATED) T 47 45 64 10 38 46 -10 SOLAR ACTIVITY WAS VERY LOW ALL WEEK.
