Thanks to all. EAST MALAYSIA. Peter, PB0ALB, will be on the air as 9M8PFB from January 31 to March 8, with activity on 80 through 10 meter SSB only. No WARC band operating is planned. QSL via CBA. COMOROS. From February 3 to 24, Wolfgang, DK7UY, will be active from here with CW, SSB and RTTY, 80 through 10 meters. There will be no direct QSLing. Wolfgang will send out cards to all log entries via the bureau. NAVASSA ISLANDS. A one week DXpedition concentrating on the low bands is planned for late April or early May. There may be some satellite operating. The calls W5IJU, KB4VLO, and K0IYF have been mentioned as possible operators for this event. KALININGRAD. UA2DC has been quite active on 160 meters during evening hours. SUDAN. ST2AA in Khartoum was worked on 7001 kHz at 0100z and is also QRV on 18069 kHz around 1500z. QSL via WB2RAJ. RWANDA. 9X5EE was worked on 7001 kHz at 0120z. He is also active on 160 meters. Watch 1829 kHz around 0130z. ICELAND. Juha, OH1KAG, will sign OH1KAG/TF from January 27 to February 3 on CW and SSB. He will put an extra effort into operating in the CQWW 160 Meter DX Contest. QSL via OH3NE. AFGHANISTAN. A station signing YA/PA3BTQ was on 14200 kHz at 1245z for nearly one hour last Sunday. TOKELAU. 5W1MM will be operate all modes, all bands, from January 22 to 26. There will be an emphasis on low band work. QSL via JE6IBJ. MICRONESIA. From February 12 to 23, JA2NQG and friends will be active as V63WW from Pohnpei. They plan to participate in the ARRL CW DX Contest and be active on the lower bands. BELAU. After their Micronesia effort, Team JA2NQG plans to operate as KC6CW and KC6WW from February 24 to March 1. QSL via JA2NQG. AFRICAN TOUR. Peter, ON6TT, will be working as a telecom consultant and be based in Goma, Zaire. He replaces Paul, F6EXV, AKA 9Q5EXV, in this capacity. Enroute to his duty station, Peter will be active from ITU Headquarters in Geneva as 4U1ITU. Listen for him during European evening hours from January 30 to February 5. He should then be on the air from Zaire for a week starting February 6. Peter will try to make weekend trips to Rwanda and Burundi. He will concentrate on the WARC and low bands. This is not a DXpedition, so operating time will probably be limited. He may also be active in the CQWW WPX, CQWW 160 and ARRL DX Phone Contests. QSL via ON5NT. BELIZE. Alan, NS0B, and John, WC0W/V31TP, will operate from here February 15 to 20, and be a multi/single entry in the ARRL CW DX Contest. Activity outside the contest hours will be on CW and SSB. MONTSERRAT. Art, WA2UJH, will be on from February 16 to 26 and operate in the ARRL DX CW Contest. He plans mostly CW on 40, 80 and 160 meters including the WARC bands. QSL via NW8F. COCOS-KEELING, LORD HOWE AND CHRISTMAS ISLANDS. Joerg, YB6AVE/DL8WPX, Rudi, DJ5CQ and Dietmar, DL3DXX, will be active from these islands during the month of February. They will be on all bands, with emphasis on CW, working Europe on the lower bands. Look for VK9XY on Christmas Island, February 2 through 8 and February 18 to March 2. Between these dates, look for VK9CR on Cocos-Keeling, February 8 to 18. They plan to wrap up the effort from Lord Howe, after their last Christmas Island jaunt, signing VK9LM. QSL via DJ5CQ, Rudi Mueller, Alter Main 23, D-96179 Ebing/Bamberg. HONG KONG AND MACAO. Leo, K8PYD, will be active in early February, first from Hong Kong, then as XX9YD in Macao, until February 28. Leo mentions he will switch from SSB to CW, if asked, anytime he is on the air. He may also venture elsewhere in the Far East pending access and permission to operate. THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The CQ World Wide 160 Meter DX Contest, CW, should provide plenty of excitement for Top Band ops. The contest runs from 2200z January 27 until 1600z January 29. See page 123 in December, 1994 QST for more details. What may prove to be the final ARRL Novice Roundup will take place from 0000z January 28 to 2400z February 5.
