They have been spotted on 14030 and 14195 kHz on the east coast PacketCluster network. CONWAY REEF. A group of four amateurs plan a major, two weekend effort from March 24 to April 3, including working the CQWW SSB WPX contest. Operational specifics include three separate 1 KW stations, Yagis for the higher frequencies and verticals for the lower bands. Ops to date are SM7PKK, OH1RY, SM6CAS and NI6T. One more operator is being sought. Listen for their CW on 1823, 3503/3523, 7003/7023, 10103, 14003/14023, 18071, 21003/21023, 24893 and 28023 kHz. For SSB try 1843, 3785, 7085, 14195, 18115, 21295, 24935 and 28495 kHz. And for RTTY try 7030/7082, 10120, 14082, 18100, 21082 and 28082 kHz. VU2JPS is active only on 40 meter SSB, but may get on other bands soon. Check 7060 kHz around 0200z and 0730z. QSL via VU2JPS. MOUNT ATHOS. Apollo, SV2ASP/A, was working stateside recently on 18140 kHz between 1315 and 1345z. EAST MALAYSIA. Peter, PB0ALB, AKA KC4VDE, is expected to be on soon from Sarawak as 9M8PFB and operate until March 8. CHRISTMAS ISLAND. DJ5CQ, DL8WPX and DL3DXX should be on the air soon as VK9XY. QSL via DJ5CQ. COCOS KEELING. After their Christmas Island stint, our German friends will sign VK9CR from February 8 to 17. They will return to Christmas Island and operate VK9XY from February 18 to 21. PHILIPPINES. Tom, SM0CNS, is signing SM0CNS/DU7 again. He continues to be active on 1827 kHz around 1400z and again from 2000z until his sunrise at 2200z. Bobby Garcia, DU6BG, President of PARA, the Philippine Amateur Radio Association, will be leading an all Philippine team to activate DU0K on all bands and modes from April 10 to 16. JA2EZD will sign from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Singapore starting around February 10. ANTARCTICA. Brian, KC4USB, will be active from Byrd Surface Camp until February 10. Check 14270 kHz after 0030z daily. Henry, KC4USX, is on from Williams Field daily around 14270 kHz after 0300z. KC4AAG is at a new base at Terra Nova Bay and also frequents 14270 kHz after 0300z.
