SB SPACE @ ARRL $ARLS024 ARLS024 SAREX QSL cards QST de W1AW Space Bulletin 024 ARLS024 From ARRL Headquarters Newington, CT July 6, 1994 To all radio amateurs SAREX QSL Cards Reports and QSLs for the upcoming Shuttle Amateur Radio EXperiment mission should be sent to ARRL EAD, STS-65 QSL, 225 Main St, Newington, CT 06111. In order for the managing process to run smoothly, please include the following information with your report or QSL: Shuttle flight number (STS-65), date, time in UTC, frequency and mode (FM voice or packet). In addition, you must also include an SASE using a large, business-sized envelope if you wish to receive a card. No cards are distributed without the proper postage affixed or sufficient IRCs included. Cards often take many months to produce because of printing delays and the busy schedules of the astronauts, who often help design their QSL cards. Once the cards are completed, they are forwarded to whichever Amateur Radio club is involved with the awesome task of managing the cards. The following clubs have graciously volunteered their service for handling QSL cards for the following missions: STS-58 Connecticut DX Association STS-60 Cowley County Amateur Radio Club, Kansas STS-59 Orange Park Amateur Radio Club, Florida STS-65 Lake County Amateur Radio Club, Indiana /EX
