K4CEF & Southeastern Cluster Group, W4FOA, W4MGN, K8YSE, KB8DB, KF8VW,
KP4BJD, IK0AZG, JE1OMO, JH1ROJ, JR2BNF/1, DF4RD, DL2GBT and DL7VEE the
DXNL for the following DX information.

5R, MADAGASCAR. DL5UF, DK1CE and DF5WA will be active February 25th to
March 10th. Operations will be on CW, SSB and RTTY with activities on 
160-10 meters (including the WARC bnads). Callsigns and QSL information
will follow later.

9J, ZAMBIA. Brian, 9J2BO is active daily on 1825 kHz (CW) around 0400z.
He can also be heard on 10 and 15 meters CW (usually 25 kHz from the 
band edge) between 1330 and 1545z. George, 9J2GA has been heard on
1847 kHz (SSB) between 0345 and 0415z. He has also been heard on 80 meter
SSB bewteen 0415 and 0445z. Both (9J2BO and 9J2GA) are hearing S9 signals
from stateside stations on 160 meters.

A2, BOTSWANA. Burns, W4FOA, reports overhearing a conversation with
Dave, A22MN, and another station that he (Dave) would be on 160 meters
at 0330z all week for the next 2 weeks. He typically transmits on 1827
kHz and listens up 5 kHz. Dave is reportedly leaving A2 in the middle of
March. QSL via WA8JOC.

A5, BHUTAN. A few JA sources report that Yasuo, JH1AJT, who was active
with others as A51/JH1AJT recently, hopes to make a return sometime this
summer. Yasuo has left all the rigs, antennas and amps in A5 and plans
to go back again to activate the station once more, but with a longer
operation.

DP1, SOUTH SHETLAND. Andy, DL7VTS, continues to be active as DP1KGI
from Ardley Island until March 31st. He has been heard mainly on 20
meters operating CW, SSB and RTTY usually between 2300 and 0300z. He
has also been heard on 40 meters SSB (7050/7185) around 0345z. QSL 
via DD6UAB.

IR, ITALY. GianFederico, IK0AZG, reports he will be airing the special
callsign IR0C during most important contests in 1995. QSL via CBA
or bureau.

S0, WESTERN SAHARA. Tim, KC0PA, has been active as KC0PA/S0. Over the
past weekend, Tim has been very active on 12 and 17 meters. Check 18126
kHz between 1645 and 1800z and on 24950 kHz between 1415 and 1645z. He
has also been heard on 3788 kHz around 2350z. Tim states he will be
operating on all bands (but NO CW). He will send out QSLs after his
return home in August. His address is NO good in the callbook. His
correct address is: Timothy Hardy, 137 Kelli Circle, Byron, GA 31008.

TG, GUATEMALA (UPDATE and CHANGE). Scott, KA9FOX, has learned that he
will not be able to operate TG9GI for the upcoming ARRL DX SSB contest.
Instead, he will operate "field day" style from atop a 6,000 ft mountain.
Callsign will be TG0AA or TG0DX. Scott will also operate from the QTH of
TG9AJR using the call TG/KA9FOX between March 1-7th.

TN, CONGO. (The TN2M and TN4U Saga.) After months of planning and a
great deal of green stamps spent, the German team final was able to
operate, but with many obstacles. The team had planned to make this the
biggest operation to Congo. As time got closer to their departure date
for TN-land and no official word from the authorities was given, the
group began to plan a parallel operation to Maldives (8Q) in case the
TN operation was cancelled. The planned DXpedition was to be active for
the whole month of February. Then on January 21st, OPDX received a
message from Holgert, DL7VTM, stating that he had to cancel their
reservations and booked flights to the Congo because the official word
still had not arrived. Three days later (24th), OPDX received another
message stating the German team finally received the "OK" from the
Congo authorites, and that they would be in Brazzaville on January 26th.
The team was told (before leaving) they had permission from the Congolese
Secret Police to operate for a period of 14 days ONLY. Upon their arrival
in Brazzaville, the team was treated very rudely and were delayed from
operating an additional 10 days. This left the team ONLY 4 days to set up
and operate. In the 4 days, TN2M and TN4U operated on all bands, RTTY and
the satellites. They made approximately a total of 13,100 QSO, which is
an excellent feat (This is around 3,000 QSO per 24 hour period). Their
operation went QRT as of February 9th and they were back in Berlin on
the 10th. The QSL cards will be ready around the end of February or early
March. All QSLs are to be sent to DL7VRO in Berlin ONLY. (DL7VRO, Fritz
Bergner, Sterndamm 199, D-12487 Berlin, Germany.)
  At the present, there is only one other German operator (DL1YFF) with
permission to operate in the Congo, his call is TN1M. This operator will
be there for another 3 to 4 weeks. This station was heard this past week
on 14239 kHz around 2115z. Another station signing TN1AT is unknown by
the authorities and has no permission to operate. Meanwhile, the DXNL
reports that DF1AL and DL6NW decided to cancel their planned DXpedition
to Congo.

XU, CAMBODIA. Sanyi, XU7VK, from Phnom Penh, has renewed his licence
which is valid until February 1996. He has also received a special 
callsign, XU95HA, which he can use on special events, such contests,
and any special Cambodian or Hungarian celebrations. QSL via HA0HW, both
calls. 

XW, LAOS. Reports from the Tokyo PacketCluster indicate that two XWs
stations are currently still active. XW2A and XW1BOD have been mainly
active on 20 and 40 meters CW. The two station operat on 20 meters
between 2300 and 0100z and on 40 meters between 1430 and 1700z; also
between 2100 and 2230z. Many East coast stations need these two stations
and would like the XWs to listen for them between 1100 and 1300z on
20 meters long path. (PASS THE WORD ON!) QSL XW1BOD via JA2BOD and
XW2A via JA2EZD.
