A fifth operator has been added to the DXpedition team and the team is now complete and consists of the following members: Mats/SM7PKK, Garry/NI6T, Nils/SM6CAS, Jun/JH4RHF and Pekka/OH1RY. The DXpedition will be active from March 24th to April 3rd, which includes participation in the CQWW WPX SSB Contest. Callsigns are 3D2CU for CW/RTTY and 3D2CT for SSB. Franco, I4LCK will be active from Mafia Island (AF-054) from March 21st to April 2nd. His callsign will be 5H3CK. Also, he plans to activate two new IOTA's: Boydu Island in Dar es Salam Regional Group and Nyuni Island in the Lindi Group. IOTA numbers will be announced at a later day. Franco will try to be active two days on each island. He will also be active in the CQ WW WPX Contest from Mafia. QSL to I4LCK. 9K, KUWAIT. Bob, 9K2ZZ, reports that he has improved his 160 meter antenna. Look for him to be active each day at 0000z on 1832 kHz. QSL via W8CNL. AP, PAKISTAN. Reports state that Rudi, DK7PE, is in Pakistan and is looking for a local active DXer in Karachi, possibly to be active from AP-land. E25, THAILAND. A group of Thai hams are going to activate this new prefix plus set up a demonstration station from Chiang Mai University, March 11-12th. Their callsign will be E25CMU and they plan to be active on all bands and modes (CW/SSB/SSTV and possibly satellite). This demonstration is permitted by Post and Telegraph Department for only 2 days. Chiang Mai province is north of Bangkok about 700 Km. This is the first E2 on zone 5 of Thailand. Some of the operators mentioned are: HS1AAM (leader), HS1CDX and HS3DF, etc.. QSL via P.O. Several stations having a QSO with FR5HG on 15 meters RTTY on Friday, March 3rd, have indicated that FR5HG would be active from Europa for 45 days beginning on March 8th. Activity will be on the following bands/modes: RTTY, SSTV, SSB and CW on 40-10 meters. KH0, SAPIAN (MARIANA ISLANDS). Frank, AH0W/OH2LVG, plans to become active from March 23-30th. His activity will be mainly on the low bands and the WARC bands. Watch for him on CW and SSB with a possibility of some satellite operations on RS-12 and RS-13. QSL via KE7LZ. OPERATIONS APPROVED. Don, N8AC, who handled/sent the paperwork to the DXCC Desk for the recent TN2M and TN4U operation, reported that he received a FAX from Bill Kennamer, K5FUV, stating both have been approved. Also, Don, WB2DND, reported he forwarded copies of the licenses to the DXCC Desk for both A61AH and A61AN, and both have been approved. SU, EGYPT. The DXNL reports that Ahmed, SU3AM, is very active in on 20 meters SSB and plans to be there until March 18. QSL via DL5ZBV. ZF, CAYMAN ISLANDS. John, NC8V, will be operating from Little Cayman Island (NA-016) as ZF2JC/ZF8 during the period of March 16th through March 21st. Most of his operation will probably be on IOTA frequencies, but he will attempt to generate some activity in the Novice CW subbands.
