A mild geomagnetic disturbance peaked on July 16 with the A index at 26 and the K index as high as five. Since then the K index has varied quite a bit, from one to four. Solar flux is expected to stay near 80 for the next month. This weekend geomagnetic conditions could be unsettled, and the mild upset could return around August 10 and 11. Sunspot Numbers from July 14 through 20 were 90, 59, 76, 73, 79, 44 and 39, with a mean of 65.7. 10.7 cm flux was 81.9, 83, 82.4, 80.3, 80.1, 77.6 and 77, with a mean of 80.3. The path projection for this week is from Seattle to Singapore. This path looks difficult at this time. 80 meters may have an opening around 1130z to 1230z, but it is not a strong one. Check 40 meters from 1130z to 1330z. 30 meters looks good from 1030z to 1500z. 20 meters has some possibilities around 0900z and again around 1730z to 1800z. The bands above 20 meters do not look good at this time. /EX From ssc!tad@nwnexus.wa.com Fri Jul 22 00:14:28 1994 Return-Path: Received: from nwnexus.wa.com by mail.netcom.com (8.6.8.1/Netcom) id AAA28790; Fri, 22 Jul 1994 00:14:25 -0700 Received: by nwnexus.wa.com id AA15197 (5.65c/IDA-1.4.4 for netcom.com!ab5sm); Fri, 22 Jul 1994 00:13:18 -0700 Received: by ssc.com (smail2.5c) id AA09398; 22 Jul 94 00:09:27 PDT (Fri) Subject: 7/22/94 bulletin de kt7h (fwd) To: ab5sm@netcom.com (Lee Laird) Date: Fri, 22 Jul 94 0:09:15 PDT Cc: bateman@owl.nmt.edu (Monte Bateman) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.2 PL16] From: tad@ssc.com (Tad Cook) Message-Id: <9407220009.AA09367@ssc.com> Status: RO Forwarded message: >From tad Fri Jul 22 00:08:09 1994 Subject: 7/22/94 bulletin de kt7h To: tad (Tad Cook) Date: Fri, 22 Jul 94 0:08:07 PDT X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.2 PL16] From: tad@ssc.com (Tad Cook) Message-Id: <9407220008.AA09302@ssc.com> SB DX @ WW $RTDX0722 VK2SG RTTY DX Notes, 22 July VK2SG RTTY DX Notes for week ending 22 July 1994 (BID RTDX0722) Our information this week came from DJ3IW and the Central-Europe DX Cluster Node DB0SPC, I5FLN and the IK5PWJ Packet Cluster, N2DBI, PA3ERC, W2JGR and the NJ0M node of the Twin-Cities DX Packet Cluster and W5KSI.
