Mother nature provided some unexpected favorable band conditions in
this twilight of Sunspot Cycle 22.
 
Our information this week came from DJ3IW and the Central Europe DX
Cluster DB0SPC, I5FLN and the IK5PWJ Packet Cluster Node, IV3PBK,
LA4LN, OM3LA, UT5RP, W2TKU, W5KSI, WA4RGH, WB2CJL, and the NJ0M node

Notes of Interest
 
Now until 30 September special event station OM9SNP is active on
CW/SSB/RTTY 160-10m.  With this station Slovak amateurs are
commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Slovak national uprising
during World War II, as well as remembering all their war dead.  QSL
to OM3LA.
 
Svalbard, JW - Tom, LA4LN and Magne, LB3RC, will sign JW4LN and
LB3RC/JW respectively from 1-20 August.  As their DXing will be
incidental to their scientific activities, their battery/gasoline
powered CW/Phone/Digital operations, on 160-10m, will be dependent
upon local conditions such as wx and chasing away polar bears!
