Known Bugs and Bug-like Features

If you are experiencing unexpected behavior with NCSA Mosaic and you suspect that it might be a bug, please check the following lists. If the behavior is not mentioned there, please submit a bug report (see ``Feedback to NCSA'').

Please include the following information in your Bug Report:

A description of the problem
The URL where you saw the bug
Any other information that will help us recreate the problem

Please keep in mind that we cannot fix a bug if we cannot reproduce it. Thanks.

The following aspects of NCSA Mosaic may cause behavior that looks like a bug when, in fact, it is not:

NCSA Mosaic's FTP client interacts with FTP servers using the passive port mode. Since most FTP servers allow passive interaction, this works most of the time. However, there are some FTP servers that do not allow passive interaction; NCSA Mosaic can not interact with these servers.
Incorrectly written HTML files may cause unexpected behavior.
