NCSA Mosaic for Microsoft Windows User's Guide

The Home Page

NCSA Mosaic can be set to retrieve and display a home document every time it is launched. As distributed from NCSA, this is the NCSA Mosaic for Microsoft Windows Home Page, but your copy of NCSA Mosaic may have been configured to use a different home document -- perhaps a local home page that does not have to be retrieved from a distant server. A home page usually contains hyperlinks to material that is thought to be relevant to members of a particular group or organization.

To return to the home document at any time, click the home button () on the tool bar or select Navigate ... Home.

Since NCSA's servers are so heavily used, NCSA asks that users either change their default home page or set NCSA Mosaic so that it does not automatically load a home page (see ``A special request from NCSA'') on startup.
