Installing NCSA Mosaic into the Windows Program Manager

You are now ready to install NCSA Mosaic into the Microsoft Windows system. Perform the following steps in the Program Manager:
  1. Open the program group that you want to put NCSA Mosaic into.
  2. Select File ... New.... The New Program Object window will appear.
  3. Click on Program Item to indicate that you are installing an application.
  4. Click on OK. The Program Item Properties window will appear.
  5. Type NCSA Mosaic in the Description field.
  6. Click on Browse and locate the NCSA Mosaic executable, mosaic.exe.
  7. Click on OK to close the Browse window.
  8. Click on OK to close the Program Item Properties window.

A labelled NCSA Mosaic icon will now appear in the selected program group window.
