Small, Fast, Efficient AI shell that reads, edits, and runs your knowledge base! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ AT YOUR COMMAND v1.0 WHAT IS IT? - Small, Fast, Efficient Program by Isaac Yao! - Run programs and DOS calls, and remember notes from English commands that YOU write! - No need to look for where a program is in menu, just type it in! - Execute a command quickly by entering its number! - Use Find Command to locate something at the tip of your tongue! - Allows up to 300 commands and 100 notes! - Save important notes to memory or file! - What you want the computer to do is up to your imagination! WHY USE IT? - Talk English, not Machine Language! - Organization of disk or hard drive in one place - No need for remembering names of applications, directories,... - Extremely small in size HOW TO USE IT? - To try it first, simply type YOURCOM. - Run your favorite editor and load up the data file YOURCOM.DAT - Edit it with the following instructions: - Every command is CAPITALIZED. - There should your English commmand, follow by the command line. - Both your command and the DOS command is limited to 50 characters. - Anything past the { character (if there is one) is comment. The } character is optional. - When running it, anything after your command is consider the command line parameter. - Commands beginning with ~ are intrinsic commands that you cannot change (You can change the command you use to call it) These commands include handling notes and finding commands. Ex. CLEAR SCREEN ~CLS{this you don't change} - Examples: WHAT'S IN MEMORY?{Looks at programs, including TSR in memory} MAPMEM HOW MUCH SPACE IS LEFT IN THE HARD DRIVE? CHKDSK C: FIND FILE YOURCOM.* ~FIND FILE{The parameter YOURCOM.* is passed automatically} SHOW ME ALL LOTUS 123 FILES DIR \*.WK? /S /P - Try your own commands and phrasing! After all, the computer is made to suit YOU! - When you run At Your Command, it will read the data file that you wrote and gives you a brief introduction. - You can type anything you want now. No CAPS LOCK is necessary. - The screen background is normally blue. When it follws your command, it will be black. And when finish back to blue. - Help is invoked by ? key. - A short cut of executing a command is typing the number that is associated with it. Ex. 15 CHANGE DRIVE TO Short Cut: 15 C: This will change drive to c: - When you get the error "File not found." you probably didn't specified the command line (including path) correctly. To see what file was suppose to invoke, type Display last command - To do the last command again, rather than typing it over, just type ^ - I have given you a sample data file. - They either comes with DOS or are Shareware. - The shareware programs are all available for anonymous FTP at: garbo.uwasa.fi or oak.oakland.edu NOW WHAT? - THE BEST WAY TO USE IT IS DIVE IN, MAKE SOME MISTAKES, AND MASTER IT! - GO FOR IT!
