Your first step is MakeWild, there you will need to add one conference for E-Mail and one conference for each of the newsgroups that you intend to carry. On my board I designated groups of conferences for each network and left plenty of room for future conferences. For instance, my FidoNet conferences are numbered 10-99, Internet Conferences 100-199 and my TechNet conferences 200-299. I haven't yet used up all the conferences, but having each Network with its own numbers helps keep things straight.. For your E-Mail conference, you will want to set up a conference similar to this. You may be surprised at the amount of mail you receive on the Internet, some newsgroups can easily generate two or three thousand messages each week. I found that 1000 messages was a good, round number and worked will on my system. You will have to keep an eye on your disk space for the first few weeks and decide on the appropriate number of messages for each conference. Now save your MakeWild settings and exit MakeWild. At this point you should refer to MAKEGATE.TXT and run MakeGate.
