The enclosed files are 1992 calendar templates in COREL DRAW 2.0 CDR and TIF formats. They were created with the help of my kids, ages 9, 7, and 2. The idea came from my 9 year old when she suggested that we create a calendar with pictures of the family at the top. I decided that this would be the ideal opportunity to teach them a little about computing while allowing them to have some fun too. Well, after numerous arguments about style, content, and who gets to play games afterwards ... They agreed on the final product. The designs are simple and straight forward allowing for flexibility. The hardest part was placing the dates within the boxes but the kids were very patient and only threatened to kill each other (and me) twice. Our plans are to import scanned pictures of our family in onto separate pages, note important dates (birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, etc.) on the calendars themselves, and take the printed output to a printshop to be binded. They should make great gifts for relatives. I told the kids that we would put these files on a BBS and see if anyone would like to pay them for their hard work. If you would like to send them a buck apiece for their effort (or a buck apiece for the two older kids and a cherry flavored tootsie pop for the two year old), they would really appreciate it. I'm trying to teach them that if you do hard work you'll get rewarded for it. They are saving up for ten speeds so they can keep up with Dad when we go bike riding (the two year old gets to ride with me so he's happy). Anyway ... enjoy the files whether or not you decide to send money (or candy). Thanks (p.s. my two year old says grape will be fine too!!)
