    Selected controlled release beta versions.

Ver 0.9
    First general use beta copy.  Only SVGA modes supported were ATI SVGA modes
    and all normal VGA modes on other cards.  Auto select only works on ATI
    Wonder cards.

Ver 1.0
    First release copy of PicView.  All current SVGA chipsets supported.  Auto
    select works for all supported VGA and SVGA cards.  Hot key access to
    animate and screen selection windows.  Bug fixes from beta release copy.

Ver 1.1
    PalView introduced.  Bug fixes for Paradise memory check, 800x600x16 on all
    supported SVGA cards, and normal 256 & 16 color modes on VEGA and Everex.
    Fixed animation so no lockups on 8088/86 processors.

Ver 1.2
    Added status line, hot key to view screen dimensions, can delete files from
    file selection window.  Added new opening screen.  Paradise is assumed to
    have 512k.  Local palette on single images fixed.

Ver 1.3
    Partial support for GIF89a included (still needs more work).  Added command
    line options for 25 line mode, filenames, graphics mode to be left on after
    picture display, and listfiles for slideshow mode.
    Also added <ESC> key processing to abort display of picture.

Ver 1.38
    Will now read GIF's with macbinary header, and COMPRESSED Rix images.
    Fixed Paradise memory check (hopefully for good this time).  Some cosmetic
    changes to the menu structure (as many have requested).  More compliance to
    GIF89a spec (still a few features to work out).  Minor bug fixes.  Added
    support for Tseng 4000 and Oak Technologies chipsets.
