Welcome to "HyperLink" by BGASoft. This help file
will give you a very brief tour of the program.  It
is provided for two reasons.  One, it introduces
you the features of the program; and two, you may
refer to the format of the help file "HyperLNK.TXT"
when you are ready to create your own.

Help on Help
 
Program operation is very much like that of the
"Turbo Pascal" help facility.  The following keys
are defined:  [F1], [Up], [Down], [Home], [End],
[PgUp] and [PgDn].
 
You should be familiar with the operation of all of
these keys.  Keep in mind however that pressing
[F1] key at any time will bring you back to the
screen associated with the "Main Menu" keyword.
 
Press [F1] now to return to the previous screen.

Introduction
 
This help unit is very simple to use. Incorporating
this Unit into your Pascal file is as simple as
adding the  "Uses HyperLNK"  statement to your
program.  You may then call the help procedure at
any point in your program.  All of the necessary
links to your help keywords will be placed in the
actual help file.  Once you have learned how to
create this text file, you will be off and running.

can quickly access any help keyword.  This section
is simply included to show you that the [PgUp] and
[PgDn] keys may also be used.

On the top line of the screen a copyright notice
will always be displayed.  When you register your
copy of "HyperLink", you will receive a new copy of
the program without this notice.  Registration is
$20.00.  This is a one time fee, we do not ask for
any royalties.

program, fully commented Turbo Pascal source code
is available for $49.00.  If you have already
registered your copy of "HyperLink", you may
purchase the source code for the $29.00 difference

~B,Making the Index
Creating the Index file
 
Once you have finished setting up the Help file,
you are then ready to make the index file.  This is
accomplished by running the "HyperNDX.EXE" program.
When you execute this program, each keyword will be
listed on the screen as it is encountered.   The
keyword's location in the HyperLNK.TXT file will
also be shown.  This information is stored in the
file "HyperLNK.NDX" for later use by the HyperLNK
unit.
 
Remember!  You must run the HyperNDX program any
time you make a change to the HyperLNK.TXT file.
Otherwise, the index file will become obsolete and
the HyperLNK unit will no longer operate as
anticipated.
