Our first demonstration will cover some aspects of using the DOS
environment as a way to communicate information between BATCH files,
or even multiple runs of the same BATCH file.

You should generalize what you see here to apply to other cases in the
future.  For example, you will see this technique used in the INSTALL.BAT
which sets up this demonstration.
