                License Agreement For Unregistered Users

                       PLEASE READ BEFORE USING


LICENSE AGREEMENT -- USE OF THIS PRODUCT INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS 
AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.  IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THEM THEN DO NOT USE THE 
PRODUCT.

(1).  LICENSE.  This agreement applies to any user of An Ounce Of Prevention who 
has not registered with Pete Maclean Software.  Upon registration and payment of 
appropriate fees, this license is superseded by another.

Pete Maclean Software grants you, pursuant to the following terms and 
conditions, a fixed-term nonexclusive nontransferable license to use the 
software titled An Ounce Of Prevention.  You may not modify, translate, nor 
disassemble the software.  You may not sublicense the software.

(2).  WARRANTIES.  Pete Maclean Software warrants that it is vested with full 
power and authority by the copyright holders to grant the license granted by 
this agreement.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL WARRANTY OF ANY 
KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF 
MERCHANTABILITY AND/OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

(3).  LIMITATION OF LIABILITY.  You shall not hold Pete Maclean Software liable 
for any damages, direct, indirect, arising from any failure of this software to 
operate in the manner that you or others desire.  Pete Maclean Software shall 
not be liable for any damage to your hardware or software or to any other 
property that may be caused directly or indirectly by use of the software.

IN NO EVENT WILL THE MACLEAN TOOLSHOP BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY 
LOST PROFITS, SAVINGS OR OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT 
OF YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PROGRAM, OR FOR ANY CLAIM BY ANY OTHER 
PARTY.

(4).  COPYRIGHT.  This software and its related documentation are copyrighted.  
The copyright holders assign you the right to reproduce and distribute the 
software and documentation files provided that no modifications, additions nor 
deletions of any kind are made; and provided that distribution is not done for 
commercial purposes.  All other rights are reserved.

An Ounce Of Prevention is a shareware product.  You are encouraged to make 
copies of the product and pass them to friends, colleagues and bulletin boards 
for their evaluation provided that you transfer the product in its entirety 
(including all documentation files) and provided that you make no charge of any 
kind.  Distribution by diskette vendors and other businesses that charge for 
copies is governed by conditions set forth in the accompanying document, 
VENDOR.DOC.

Pete Maclean Software reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to 
withdraw your privilege to share copies of the product.

(5).  TERM & REGISTRATION.  This license is granted to you expressly and solely 
to allow you to evaluate the product.  You may install and use the software on 
any number of PCs of which you are the primary user.  The evaluation period 
starts on the date when you first install the software and terminates when you 
have determined whether or not to use the product on an ongoing basis or after 
three months, whichever period is shorter.  Following this evaluation period, 
you must either remove the software from all PCs on which you installed it or 
register with Pete Maclean Software in the manner described elsewhere in the 
document file called REGISTER.

(6).  SEVERABILITY.  Should any term of this agreement be declared to be invalid 
or illegal by any competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from 
this agreement and all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

(7).  APPLICABLE LAW.  This License Agreement and Warranty shall be governed by 
the laws of the State of California except as to copyright and trademark matters 
which are governed by United States laws and international treaties.
