Booklet 2.40

'Booklet' is a program to print documents in landscape orientation using both
sides of the paper. It can operate with A5 or US letter paper on HP Laserjet II
compatible printers, or 11" x 8" paper on 9 or 24 pin Epson compatible
dot-matrix printers. When the output is folded down the middle it becomes an
A5 (or similar) booklet.

You can use it to print its own documentation. Just type 'booklet booklet.doc'.
If you are using an dot-matrix Epson compatible, select 'Printer/Epson 9 pin'
or 'Printer/Epson 24 pin' from the menu. If you are using a Laserjet II or
compatible, select 'Printer/HP Laserjet, US letter' from the menu. If you are
using LPT2 rather than LPT1, select 'Port/LPT2'. Leave ALL other options
unchanged (55 lines+header, 80 columns/line, both sides, whole document).

Then just choose 'File/Print' and follow the instructions.

Upgrading from v2.12 or earlier
-------------------------------
If you have a configuration file BOOKLET.CFG in the same directory as
BOOKLET.EXE, delete it before running this version. If present it will
(probably) cause a load error. You can save a new file once you have
entered the program. If you have registered the program you will need to
re-enter your registration code using the 'Config/Register booklet' menu
option. Note that any '0' or '1' in the code is a number, not the
letters 'O' or 'l'.

2.12  20/03/91 1) Bug fix release, cured a problem with some Epsons in 66 line
                  mode.

               2) Epson modes now don't try to print completely blank column
                  pairs. Saves time when using impact printers.

               5) Page limit increased from 200 to 500 on request. If you try

               8) Rearranged the menus to accomodate the extra options.
1.8   24/11/90 1) Now sends select symbol set to HP. The program previously
                  used whatever symbol set had been selected as the default.
                  The most noticeable effect was IBM graphics appearing as
                  accented characters.
1.7   14/11/90 1) Added 24 pin Epson printer support.
1.6   19/10/90 1) Set up printer again before second pass. When the program
                  uses a printer on a network it seems the network software
                  treats the second side as a separate job, and resets the
                  printer between passes. NOT TESTED BY ME as I don't have
                  access to a network.
               2) 'Printing documentation' help added to help menu.
