Rock Drum Kit Recorded at 44.1kHz Resolution 12/27/91 CONGRATULATIONS! And thank you for trying out these samples. You will find them to be exceptional in quality, due to the high-resolution of the samples. Except for a slight (inaudible on most samples) high frequency noise, they are of CD quality. WHAT YOU NEED (OR SHOULD HAVE) - AN ADLIB GOLD, SOUNDBLASTER PRO, OR OTHER SOUND ADAPTER THAT UTILIZES STANDARD 44.1kHz PLAYBACK CAPABILITIES (older cards will play the sounds, but VERY SSLLOOOWW! - A SEQUENCER (Such as Scream Tracker, available as Shareware on most bulletin Boards) to create musical compositions - VEDIT2, or other voice editor, to manipulate wave characteristics such as volume and fade - A Strong desire to compose high-quality music You can, of course, listen to all of these samples without the sequencer. Additionally, they will work on Amiga (and other) systems since they contain no header information. WHERE THEY CAME FROM These samples were digitally recorded on an Ensoniq EPS 16+ 16-bit digital sampler at 44.6 KHz resolution. They were transferred directly to a Sound Blaster Pro and edited with VEDIT2. All of the waves have been manipulated to provide memory efficiency while allowing the longest sustains and dynamic range. ***PLEASE READ!!!*** These samples are *FREEWARE*, meaning you can copy, distribute, and use them forever without owing me a cent. However, for me to continue providing BBS's with future samples, I do request a modest contribution of $3.00 to help cover the time and effort involved with the sampling and editing. Not bad, considering the sampler itself costs about $2,000.00! Send Contributions along with comments/suggestions for future releases to: JIM CRAIG RR1 BOX 254 KEMPNER, TEXAS 76539 With your contribution, you will recieve a list of samples that I currently have "in-stock", which run from $2 to $5 per disk. Thanks for your support, and ENJOY!
