Credit card processing for your BBS or ShareWare programming!

If the ability to accept VISA, MASTERCARD, CARTE BLANCHE, DINER'S 
CLUB, and JCB cards sounds appealing, read on!

Teleflora CreditLine, a 3rd party credit card processor, wants to 
do business with you. They are actively seeking Sysops and 
ShareWare authors to join their established base of thousands of 
small businesses.

If you have investigated credit cards before, don't be dis-
couraged! TeleFlora knows your business is out of your home!
They know all your orders are over the phone!

THAT'S OK WITH TELEFLORA. Here's what they can do for you:

	> Process Visa & MC at discount rates from 2.25% to 3.1%,
		depending on the payment options YOU select.  Other 
		cards range from 3.25% to 4% (this is the amount of 
		each transaction that is Teleflora's fee).

	> Your choice of payment options, either electronic deposit 
		to your  checking account or a check sent every two 
		weeks.

	> Your Customers' credit card statements will have the 
		name of YOUR BBS or ShareWare company.

	> If you have a merchant account with American Express,
		they can make arrangements for you to use that 
		through your credit card terminal as well.  Your 
		discount rates and payment type/schedule will still be 
		strictly between you and American Express, however.

	> No minimum volume requirements!  (Actually, if your 
		volume is high, you may qualify for EVEN LOWER rate 
		options).

Here's what it costs:

	> There is a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE application fee.  If your
		application is not approved, this fee is NOT returned.  
		See below for details on approval guidelines and 
		requirements, so surprises can be avoided!

	> There is a small percentage of each transaction that is 
		taken out before paying you.  This varies by card type 
		and your choice of payment option.

	> There may be a transaction fee of $.25 for each 
		transaction regardless of dollar amount or card type.  
		This is included with their lower rate options.

Here's what TELEFLORA looks for:

	> An established BBS or ShareWare author/company. They 
		will want to verify that you have been in operation at 
		LEAST 6 months. Preferably longer!

	> For a BBS, they will want your access phone numbers, 
		hours of operation, and supported connect rates 
		(2400bps, V.32, HST, etc.). If new callers are severely 
		restricted, they will need to arrange access so that
		they may log on and take a look around!

	> For ShareWare, they will need to see the programs that 
		you offer.  A description and filename should be 
		enough, but please provide a KNOWN source in case
		they have difficulty finding the program(s) locally.

	> Good personal credit.  Since most BBS's and ShareWare
		programs are not a primary source of income, they will 
		be using your personal credit as a reference. Judge-
		ments, tax liens, and unpaid accounts will almost 
		certainly get your application DECLINED.

	> You must be at least 18 years old.

	> At this time, you must be U.S. based.  You will be able to 
		accept cards issued by foreign banks, but TELEFLORA 
		can only permitted to handle merchants in the U.S.

	> They will not be able to handle 'adult' boards. This
		requirement becomes very subjective, so if you are 
		concerned that it may apply, please give them info to 
		access your board or program, and they'll let you know 
		BEFORE you apply (and shell out $100).

		Basically, if 'X' rated GIF's are permitted, you will not 
		be approved. If your board is primarily 'adult' 
		conferences and files, you will not be approved.  If a 
		small portion is adult related (and nothing very 
		explicit), there should not be a problem.

		pm PST Monday thru Friday. You can also leave a 
		message at other times.

	> Tell her that a present Merchant, Clint Bradford of 
		ATTENTION TO DETAILS, referred you to TELEFLORA. 
		You will be taken care of!

	> Ask for an Application. She'll send you some information,
		and be able to answer any immediate questions you 
		may have.
