As you have seen over the last few years, the computer industry has changed
significantly.  Systems have become faster, hard drives have gotten larger
and less expensive, and user expectations of software packages have grown,
and Mircosoft Windows has become the operating environment of choice.

To effectively compete in the current industry, a software company must now
be able to produce and support applications designed for operation under
Microsoft Windows.  To continue to compete in this market, Millennium
Software has begun development of a Windows version of Track-It.

To make this change, Millennium Software is rewriting the entire package
using the zApp library from Inmark corporation.  This library will allow
Millennium Software to produce both a Windows and DOS version of the
program with the same source code.  The resulting products will appear
almost identical regardless of the version.

What does this mean to you as a user?  This rewrite will effect you in two
areas, the first being system requirements.  At this time, it is estimated
that future versions of Track-It will require the following hardware*:

	Windows Version:
		* 80286 or higher processor
		* 2 Meg hard drive space (for installation)
		* Microsoft Windows 3.0 or higher
		* DOS 3.3 or higher

	DOS Version:
		* 80286 or higher processor
		* 2 Meg hard drive space (for installation)
		* DOS 3.3 or higher
		* 2 MEG free extended memory
		* EGA or VGA monitor

	*These hardware requirements may take effect anytime after 
	January 1st, 1994.

Secondly, this will mean additional functionality and a new user
interface.  Both the DOS and Windows version of the program will function
identically, have similar user interfaces, and be able to share the same
data.   During the rewrite process, we will also have the ability to
enchance the product with features that were not possible with the current
librarys used to develop Track-It. Some of the planned additions to
Track-It are:
	* RMA support
	* A Service Module
	* Barcode and label support
	* Ehanced printer support
	* Additional reports
	* Much more....

A release date is not yet scheduled for the release of version 4.0.
