Newsletter 1 -  Fish and Hunting Expert Users 
  
  Users of the Fish and Hunting Expert Programs recommend some interesting
  ways to use the Fish and Hunting Programs, and we pass them along to you.

  Professional fisherman keep a lot of records, and this helps makes them 
  very successful.  The logs bring the power and ease of the computer 
  to this important activity.  You accumulate successful trends and
  make better use of your time.
  
  Have a neighborhood, company, or church parish accumulate information
  in the logs.  You really get a good scouting report which should
  enable everyone to do well in fishing and hunting.  The group accumulates
  recipes and shares important safety information as well.  
  
  Companies can put the fishing and hunting programs on a network (they do 
  need a network license from us).  The company then distributes the safety
  information, recipes, and scouting info to all employees.  This helps 
  employee morale tremendously as all company users accumulate and share 
  hunting and fishing information.    
  
  A father can easily pass along lake and other information accumulated
  over a lifetime to his son(s).  Church parishes and firms also have
  a valuable pool information which they retain from generation to 
  generation.
  
  Use of the F3 Search key in the logs and library gets you to a topic
  you want instantly.  No more searching for that packing list and
  items on it.
  
  The training a youngster receives using the programs develops
  computer skills and knowledge he someday will need in his job or 
  profession.
  
  By the way many hunting education instructors recommend out hunting
  program in their hunter education classes!
  
  Users really have recognized the importance of the scouting log in your
  hunt.  Scouting is a vital activity and the log captures this information
  easily.  When after big bucks you need to record the size of bucks 
  visually sighted and their sheds of antlers to confirm the existence
  of that big buck you will get next season.  (We plan to add substantially
  to the hunting program to cover more scouting technique)
  
  If you have a recipe log or a scouting log for an area and wish to 
  share them, please send it along to us and we will make it available
  via this newsletter.   
  
  In the logs turning off the INSERT makes entry easier sometimes.
  Turn it off or on by toggling the Insert key.
  
  Also use the TAB key to TAB over to certain areas.
  
  Convert some logs to check lists by turning the insert off and
  putting an X in the leftmost column
  
  If you use Compuserve or any other Computer Service which lists
  recipes or other messages, then you easily save important
  recipes and messages to the appropriate log using the F9 key
  to import the message or portions of the messages after having
  saved them from the Computer Service.  For example, if you use
  Compuserve and access it using the TAPCIS program you save 
  Outdoor Forum messages in a file called either Outdoor.msg or
  Outdoor.sav.  Press the F9 Key after in a logs and give
  this file name (include any path); pick which portions of the
  messages you want using the F9 key at the beginning and end
  of the messages you want and you have easily saved and stored
  important messages for future use.
  
  You capture valuable information from hunting and fishing TV
  programs, videos, seminars, etc. by creating an added log from
  the extra or blank log.  Then while or after you view a lecture
  or rented video, enter the key points in the log so you
  have the key points permanently at your finger tips.
  
  We updated the hunting data base for version 4 to include the latest
  information on whitetail hunting and it has much more information and
  some new conditions.

     it to us, and we will make it available to others and give you 
     a free upgrade if we include it on our list.
     
   Tell us a new way to use the Program and if used we will give you a 
     free upgrade.

   FUTURE VERSIONS' PLANS - More types of fish, more patterns for a
   type of fish, more explanation for current patterns, and Graphics!
   When a pattern is given we  include a graphic diagram as
   well.
   We are already planning the next versions and it will include more 
   data base material in the expert system, more library information, and 
   even more Log Applications (send us your idea for a Log Application Key
   and get a free upgrade if chosen).  We also tentatively plan to use
   Microsoft Windows to give you some graphics uses.  For Example,
   Hunting Maps, Lake Charts, etc..  Unfortunately we could not implement
   a graphics function in the current versions with high enough quality 
   to make it really useful to you.
