Subject: Using Calendar Creator Plus with WinFax PRO

Situation:
==========
When using WinFax with Calendar Creator Plus, one or more of the 
following problems may occur.

- Some WinFax menus, commands and dialogs are not accessible.

- Printing from Calendar Creator to WinFax, the message "Cannot Print 
  to Fax ... Administrative Application Inactive" appears.

- Attempting to include a cover page with a fax, the message "Error 
  Accessing Cover Page" appears.

- You cannot print from either application while both are running.

Solution:
=========
WinFax PRO and Calendar Creator Plus both contain some of the same DLL 
files which makes it difficult to use the two applications simultaneously. 
The following basic recommendations will help you work around the problems 
as much as possible.

a)  To reliably create faxes or fax attachments from Calendar Creator Plus:

    1.  Export the calendar to a .BMP file.

    2.  Load the .BMP file into Microsoft Paintbrush, or another graphics 
        application.

    3.  Print the .BMP file from the graphics application, with the WINFAX
        printer option selected.

        You can then fax the .BMP file or save it as an attachment in the 
        WinFax PRO Send Fax dialog.

b)  To fax directly from Calendar Creator Plus:

    1.  Make sure that WinFax is not running.

    2.  Print your calendar using the WINFAX printer option.

        When the WinFax PRO Send Fax dialog appears, the cover page and 
        attachments options are not available.

    3.  After sending the fax, you must exit and restart Windows.

c)  Whenever you print from WinFax PRO or Calendar Creator Plus, make sure 
    that the other application is not running.

d)  Update to the April 21, 1993 release of WinFax PRO 3.0 if you are 
    running an earlier release of the software. This updated version provides 
    a limited increase in compatibility between the two applications. To verify 
    the release date of your software, pull down the Help menu in WinFax, and 
    select About. For details on updating, see the following technical notes:

           the maker of Calendar Creator Plus, are working to resolve these
