Welcome! Thank you for evaluating QuikCal. QuikCal is Shareware, meaning you may pass this software along for someone else to evaluate too. Shareware is not free though. If you use QuikCal beyond an initial 30 day evaluation period, you must register the software or delete it from your computer (in which case we thank you for at least looking at QuikCal!). Some menu options are grayed out. When you register, you will get the newest version with all options enabled. The menu options were selected to in no way inhibit the use of QuikCal, just extra features for registered customers to enjoy. This Read Me file is to bring you up to date with what's new and what "bugs" have been fixed since the last version. If you have a problem with QuikCal, please do not hesitate to contact us. The on-line help file contains how to get in touch. WHAT IS QUIKCAL? QuikCal is a small calendar program that shows one month at a time. Events, up to 20 per day, such as appointments, to-do items and birthdays may be entered by double-clicking on a day. Repeating events, such as birthdays, can also be added. Reports, including the monthly calendar, can be printed to any Windows printer that supports limited graphics. QuikCal is not overloaded with dubious features but is meant to be small and useful as a monthly calendar program. Version Correction History: 1.00 - Initial version. 1.01 - Corrects Event dialog box where you could not put in 80 characters total for an event item. Corrects a GPF if you double-click on an area that is not a calendar day. Prevents the Event Dialog box from displaying if the day is less than the first of the month or greater than the last day of the month. 2.00 - Major rewrite. Added support for repeating events. Added new monthly calendar report. Added small calendar to list of events report. Added magnify window to view all of a day's events. Added resizing of the calendar window. Added Go To month or year feature. Added printer setup dialog box. Based calendar window on font point size so the calendar will look the same at different monitor resolutions. 2.01 - Corrects bug when deleting a repeating event for one day and the entire repeating event is deleted instead. Corrects adding an event that repeats on the last week. It is not always displayed on the last week. Added the ability to have text be clipped at the edge of the box for the day or wrap to a new line. 3.00 - Written for Windows 3.1 Adds ability to create a new QuikCal file, open another file or save a file under a new name (only in Registered version). Adds selection of typefaces, sizes of type, and colors for customizing your calendar. Adds spanning events to the calendar (see the QuikCal Help feature). Adds moving items in the list to resort them. Corrects adding events that repeat on the fourth week and the last week. Two events are added for the day instead of one. Corrects several bugs in the adding, editing and deleting events dialog box.
