XFile ----- Version 1.5 ----------- Vendor Information This file provides information for Shareware Distributors, Disk Vendors, Computer Clubs, and other individuals who wish to distribute the XFile 1.5 program package. Individual USERS do not need to read the information in this file. Limited Distribution License: As the exclusive copyright holder for XFile, Phase 33 Digital, Inc. authorizes distribution only in accordance with the following restrictions. The following files comprise the complete END USER XFile Version 1.5 package: README.TXT............instructions and package overview REGISTER.TXT................shareware registration form XFILE.TXT..................the XFile application manual XFILE.EXE.......................the application program The above files should not be modified in any way and must be dis- tributed as a complete package. Distributors may add introductory or installation batch files if desired. Archives of the XFile package should retain the name XFILE followed by the archive extension name (e.g. XFILE.ZIP). No price or other compensation may be charged for the XFile package. However, a distribution fee covering the cost of materials, handling, and processing may be charged. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Phase 33 Digital, Inc. Program Requirements: XFile requires Windows version 3.1 or higher to run. A mouse or other pointing device is also highly advised. Program Installation: While the XFILE application can be run from a floppy disk, it is highly advisable to copy the package files to any convenient location on the hard drive. To uninstall, simply delete the program files listed above as well as XFILE.INI (created in the default Windows directory). Program description (short): Multifunctional desktop utility for the Windows 3.1 environment. Program description (long): XFile is multifunctional desktop utility designed for the Windows 3.1 environment. The program functions only as a desktop icon set to one of its various operating "modes". Program modes supported include "drag and drop" file functions (including file/directory delete, renaming, and attribute alteration), system resource monitor, free memory monitor, clock, and date display. Also included are a multi-drive file finder, program launcher, multiple alarms (with optional messages), and timed program execution. XFile also provides basic information about the user's system. XFile makes NO changes to any of the user's system or configuration files.
