Aerobicalc Version 1.0 (c) 1993 Bruce Powel Douglass, PhD Compuserve 70673,2715 Phone (608) 838-6189 June 16, 1993 Aerobicalc is an aerobic calculator that computes aerobic points, caloric expenditure, and average speed for a variety of activities: Running, Cycling, Swimming, and Walking. The computed values for calories are approximate and are taken from a variety of sources. The computations take into account the activity, speed, and your weight. Differences in skill and motor efficiency will produce different true caloric outputs. This is particularly true in swimming, in which skill is a vital factor in properly deducing accurate caloric output. Using the mouse you may select the activity, the distance units, and the weight units. You must type in the distance, time, and weight values. When you hit Enter or click on Calculate, the system computes calories, points, and speed. If you have any questions, call or send me email on Compuserve. Aerobicalc is freeware. By using the program you assume full responsibility for its use and any consequences, intended or not. References: "The Aerobics Program for Total Wellbeing" by Kenneth Cooper, Bantam Books, 1982.
