Options Dialog Help for Picaso Version 1.0 Bitmap size: Controls the size of the bitmap image. Bitmap Width: This is the width of the traced image. Bitmap Height: The height of the traced image. Trace Processing: Trace time: This is how many milli seconds the ray tracer will spend tracing before it lets windows use the processor. Rest time: This is how many milli seconds the program will let windows use the processor. If another task hogs the processor the trace will not resume tracing until it has given the processor back to windows. NOTE a value of zero will not allow the ray tracer to do any tracing. Surface File: This is the file name of the predefined surface list. Calculate while tracing: This allows you to turn on, and off different ray tracing effects. Reflections: This turns on and of the reflections calculations. Refraction: This feature is not allowed in the sample. Diffuse lighting: Turns off and on diffuse lighting. Ambient lighting: Turns off ambient lighting calculations. Light Brightness: This isn't implemented in this version. Specular Highlights: Turns off specular highlight calculations. Advanced Options: These are advanced options that picaso has. Auto Quantinize: If you only have 256 colors this feature when on will automatically quantinize all images that have more than 256 colors. Scale images to fit: If this feature is on it will blow up and shrink images to fit the image viewer window. OK Button: Accept changes. Cancel Button: Cancel changes.
