There are three files for Programs WP version 2.0:

   1. readme.txt -- the file you are reading now
   2. pgmwp.exe  -- the executable, a 32-bit Windows program
   3. pgmwp.hlp  -- the Windows help file for the executable


System requirements:

   Windows NT, or Windows 3.1 with Win32s already installed,
   or Windows 4.0 when it becomes available.


Installation:

1. Place both the executable (pgmwp.exe) and the help file (pgmwp.hlp)
   together in the same directory. The directory can be any directory.

2. Use Windows' Program Manager to add Programs WP to the program group of
   your choice. Program groups are the windows on the Program Manager's
   desktop which contain program icons. To choose the program group into
   which you want the Program Manager to place the icon for Programs WP,
   select any icon already in the wanted program group. An icon can be
   selected by moving the mouse cursor onto the icon and then clicking the
   left mouse button so the icon name is highlighted.

3. Once the wanted program group has been identified to the Program Manager,
   select New from the File menu of the Program Manager. Doing this invokes
   a dialog. In the dialog, select Program Item (this is the default
   selection) and select the OK button. Doing this invokes the next dialog.
   In what follows, C:\DIR1 stands for whatever is the pathname to the
   directory in which you placed both the executable and the help file.

   On the Description line of the dialog, enter a description, such as:

         Text Editor

   On the Command Line, enter the complete path and filename of the
   executable:

         C:\DIR1\pgmwp.exe

   On the Working Directory line, enter the complete path to the executable
   and its help file, so the executable can find its help file:

         C:\DIR1

4. Select the OK button. The new program item is added to the program group
   you selected earlier. Installation of Programs WP is complete.

License:

   This is a license granted by Vantex Publishing, referred to as the
   publisher, for the use of version 2.0 of Programs WP, referred to as the
   software.

   The publisher hereby disclaims all warranties relating to the software,
   whether express or implied, including without limitation any implied
   warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The
   publisher will not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential,
   indirect or similar damages due to loss of data or any other reason,
   even if the publisher or an agent of the publisher has been advised of
   the possibility of such damages. In no event shall the publisher's
   liability for any damages ever exceed the price paid for the license to
   use the software, regardless of the form of the claim. The person using
   the software bears all risk as to the quality and performance of the
   software.

   The software may be distributed by others as shareware, provided that
   unaltered copies of pgmwp.exe (the executable) and pgmwp.hlp (the help
   file) are included in the distribution; no more than a nominal fee
   (not to exceed $10 in constant 1993 dollars) is charged for the
   distribution; and the Publisher's Address and License sections of the
   publisher's readme.txt file are copied into the corresponding readme
   file of the distribution.

   This agreement shall be construed and enforced in accordance with the
   laws of the STATE OF FLORIDA.
