   README.TXT: LETTERHEAD.PRO FOR WORDSTAR FOR WINDOWS - BBS INSTALLATION
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 This BBS edition comes with an "Anywhere to Anywhere" installation. This means
 that wherever you download the zipped bbs file, you may unzip it and begin the
 installation at that location. The only restriction is that you cannot install
 the program into the same directory where you are currently located. In other
 words, you cannot download the zipped file to the C:\WS directory and then
 install the program into the same C:\WS directory. If you had done this, copy
 the zipped file out of the C:\WS directory into any other directory, and then
 begin the INSTALL program.

 This program will install 7 letterhead TEMPLATES, 6 logos, and 1 watermark 
 into WordStar for Windows. Each letterhead may be selected when you open a NEW
 document. When you are finished using Letterhead Pro, all templates and 
 related files may be UNINSTALLED with CLEANUP.EXE. Use the RUN selection on
 the Windows Program Manager menu (or equivalent), and select CLEANUP.EXE. This
 is a special file that will remove all traces of Letterhead Pro templates and
 associated files. It may also be run from DOS in the WSWIN\TEMPLATE directory. 

 The installation program is in two stages, DOS and Windows. The INSTALL 
 program MUST be started from DOS by placing the diskette in a floppy drive and
 typing INSTALL. Do NOT call up Windows and execute the RUN command. After 
 completing the necessary DOS portion of the installation, INSTALL will call
 up WordStar for Windows, and complete the installation. When LETPRO.WSD is on 
 screen, the installation is over and you are ready to begin. LETPRO.WSD 
 contains instructions on how to use Letterhead Pro. You will be shown how to
 order your own customized letterhead, logo, and watermark. It is a WordStar
 document and must be viewed and printed from inside WordStar.
 
 You will be shown how you may obtain your own customized PCX graphic
 letterheads for WordStar. All instructions, worksheets, and order forms are
 included.  You may design your own letterhead, convert your present printed
 letterhead, or have CPI Software design a letterhead for you. CPI Software 
 will convert this letterhead design into a PCX image file, place it into a
 WordStar Template, and return it to you. Each letterhead, logo, or watermark
 is only $29.95 each.

 If the printer you are currently using will print Window's pictures and
 graphics, it will print graphical PCX letterheads. This includes lasers, 
 ink jets, and dot-matrix printers.

                                  INSTALLATION
 
 Unzip the BBS file into any directory other than WordStar's directory or any
 of its subdirectories. Log onto the directory where the unzipped files are
 located, type INSTALL, and strike the ENTER key.  

 1. Standard Installation:

 The STANDARD installation assumes that you have never changed the name of
 WordStar's directory, and that it is still called "WSWIN." You will only have
 to know the letter of the hard drive where WSWIN is located. Follow the on
 screen instructions. When LETPRO.WSD is on screen, the installation is finished
 and you are ready to begin. Follow the instructions in the LETPRO.WSD document.


 2. Custom Installation:

 This installation will let you place the letterhead templates into any 
 directory you wish. However, you must know the path to WordStar's template
 files. For example, if you renamed the WordStar template directory "TEM," then
 this would be the full path:

                                  C:\WSWIN\TEM                           

 If you are not sure how you installed WordStar, then use this method. Locate
 the WordStar template files before the installation, and write down the proper 
 DOS path. Then start the installation by typing INSTALL as instructed above,
 and follow the on screen directions. When LETPRO.WSD is on screen, the 
 installation is completed. Follow the instructions in the LETPRO.WSD document.

 3. Manual Installation:

 a. Locate where the WordStar template files (file endings WST) are located. 
    
    
 b. Log onto the WordStar template directory, so that it is the current
    directory. Then  use the DOS COPY command to copy TEMPLATE.EXE into that
    directory. 
    
 c. When the TEMPLATE file is located in the WordStar template directory, type
    TEMPLATE, and strike the ENTER key. The Letterhead Pro files will expand 
    out of the TEMPLATE.EXE file. Then delete TEMPLATE.EXE with this command:
 
                               DEL TEMPLATE.EXE

    Start Windows, and select the WordStar icon. When WordStar is on screen,
    OPEN the file LETPRO.EXE in the WordStar template directory. You will find
    full instructions for obtaining your customized letterhead templates in 
    this file. After you are through using Letterhead Pro, you may UNINSTALL
    all the Letterhead Profiles by selecting the CLEANUP.EXE file with the 
    Windows Program Manager's RUN command.
