UPGRADE.TXT

UPGRADE.EXE is for converting NEWIES 3.0 (and above) to NEWIES 4.0 ONLY!

Basically what this program will do is read your NEWIES.CFG file and 
convert it into the following *.DAT files used with NEWIES 4.0:

NEWREG.DAT
NEWPATH.DAT
NEWDISPL.DAT

It will then delete your old NEWIES.CFG.  If you wish to save your old
Configuration file then copy it to a safe place.

OPERATION:

To run the upgrade just place UPGRADE.EXE in the same directory that 
NEWIES.CFG is found in and run it.

DISCLAIMER:

This program is guarantee to only take up disk space and nothing more.
