When an invoice is made, stock amounts will be reduced by the number of sub-items needed to make up the quantity of top line Product entered. For example, if 2 units of a sub-item are needed to make up 1 product, and the top line Product quantity entry is 2, the stock quantity on hand for the sub-item will be reduced by 4 at invoice time. When you convert an estimate to an invoice, the top line Product quantity and the tax status can be changed on the invoice screen. Also, if you add other items to the invoice, they will be treated as separate invoice line items. The cost for each new item will be added into the total sale amount, and the price and cost for each new line item will print on the invoice. A minus quantity entered for a top line Product quantity on an invoice, will be treated like any other return, and upward adjustments of sub-item stock quantities will be made.
