SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Witness the unbelievably large number of earthquakes California had during the 
month of January 1994 including the January 17 Northridge quake. Using data 
obtained from Caltech and the USGS, this program will show you the time, magnitude, 
and approximate location of each quake.


LONG DESCRIPTION:
----------------
This program displays earthquakes that occurred in and near California
during the month of January 1994. This includes the large earthquake of
January 17 whose epicenter was located in Northridge. The program allows
the user to see the time, magnitude, and approximate location of each earthquake,
during the chosen time frame. The user can control the viewing speed and date
range of the earthquakes as well as filter out quakes by size.
The registered version comes with earthquake data for 1992, 1993, and 1994
(over 20,000 earthquakes) and access to our bbs for future data through at least 
1994. The database of earthquakes upon which this program is based was obtained 
from the California Division of Mines and Geology. The original sources of the
data are the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena
California and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park
California.

and unaltered. No price or compensation may be charged for
this program except for a distribution fee that does not

calculated as the price of the CD-ROM divided by the number
