INTRODUCTION:

     Jiffy Viewer 2.0 is a 256+ color image viewer for Windows 3.1+.
With this program you may view, edit, convert, and print image files
in GIF, PCX, DCX, BMP, DIB, TIF, TGA, IMG, WMF, WPG, EPS, and WMF
formats.  Other features include context sensitive help and "slide
show" style viewing.


LICENSE:

     This program is shareware. It is not free. You are encouraged to
use this program for 30 days to determine if it is the right viewer
for you. If, after that time you decide to continue using the program
then register your copy. See the on-line help for complete information
on how to register.

     You are encouraged to give this program to your friends and
upload it to your favorite BBS provided you follow some simple terms:

     *    You must include all files in this package in unmodified
          form. You may not add any files to the package.

     *    You may not charge for the program. You may charge for disk
          media provided you inform the customer this charge is for
          the media and not for the program itself.

REQUIREMENTS:

     Jiffy Viewer requires the following hardware and software:

     *    Windows 3.1 or later
     *    An installed 256 color or better display driver
     *    VBRUN300.DLL (available separately)

     A printer is optional. A proper printer driver must be installed
in Windows before you can print images with this program.


INSTALLATION:

     To install Jiffy Viewer, create a directory on your hard drive,
then copy all the files from this archive to that directory.  In
Program Manager, select a program group for Jiffy Viewer by making it
the active group. Select New from the File menu, then Program Item. In
the first line enter a title for the program like "Jiffy Viewer 2.0"
(without the quotes). On the second line enter the directory name to
Jiffy Viewer and the executable file name. For example, assuming you
installed the program in a directory named "C:\JIFFY", the second line
would look like this:

          C:\JIFFY\JIFFY.EXE

     Click on the OK button. The icon for Jiffy Viewer appears in the
program group.


OPERATION:

     Double-click Jiffy Viewer's icon to start the program. The main
screen appears. Jiffy Viewer's concept and operation is simple. Just
use the standard file browsing controls to select an image file to
view. Then, either double click the file name, click on the View
button, or highlight the file name and press Enter to view the image.
The image is shown on the screen in its own window.

     Clicking the right mouse button on the image pops up a menu of
available functions without having to return to the main window.

     More complete help is available at any time by pressing the F1
key. You may also search for a help topic.

SUPPORT:
