Geomagnetic indices have also risen a bit, signaling some instability. Very low levels of solar activity should continue, with a recurring coronal hole causing active geomagnetic conditions around October 4 or 5. Solar flux should rise to about 85 after the first of the month, and then drop back to around 70 by October 17. Sunspot Numbers for September 22 through 28 were 15, 17, 20, 35, 43, 36 and 35, with a mean of 28.7. 10.7 cm flux was 70.7, 71.4, 72.8, 76.2, 77, 74.7 and 74, with a mean of 73.8.
