SOUTH EAST AMATEUR RADIO GROUP ------------------------------ On Sunday 20th november the SE Amateur Radio Group held their rally in the Waterford Regional Technical College. The rally was a huge success with an attendance of well over 200 people. A large selection of traders were present with a wide variety of equipment on sale. This is the first time that S.E.A.R.G. have held their rally twice in the year, and they hope to do the same next year also. AMATEUR TELEVISION ------------------ Mike EI7CL from Dublin has found that contacts with Mick EI5GG in Dundalk are not successful over this line of sight route. during a recent barometric high pressure they had a QSO via the Isle of Anglesey ATV repeater. This repeater is worth trying when pressure is above 1020mb. The input frequency is 1249 MHz and output is 1316 MHz. The repeater is 154 metres above sea level and has a direct line of sight path to Ireland. the ATV repeater accepts all 625 line intercarrier sounds and repeats the same standards. further information about it may be had from Dave EI2HR or any of the ATV enthusiasts. TIPPERARY RADIO CLUB -------------------- Meetings of the newly formed Tipperary Radio Group take place on the first Wednesday of each month in a room over Feehans Public House, Cashel, at 8.30 p.m. Thursday nights have been set aside for club night on the air, using 145.450 MHz as the frequency. If you hail from the Tipperary catchment area please give your suport to the group and call in this Wednesday. all are welcome to attend.
