Land of Medicine Buddha is a non-profit center dedicated to teaching and supporting the healing of body, mind and environment. Our programs incorporate healing techniques drawn from different traditions and cultures: ancient or contemporary, religious or scientific. We offer alternative perspectives and methods for those who wish to access the universal healing language of a god heart, and to liberate the healing energy of their own innate wisdom and compassion. Land of Medicine Buddha is part of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), an international family of individuals dedicated to the transmission of Mahayana Buddhism as a practiced and living tradition, and whose work is inspired and guided by its founders, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. The Foundation comprises city and retreat centers, monasteries, publishing houses, hospices, and healing centers found in 17 countries. The center is located on 55 acres of beautiful forest and meadow land at the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains, just fifteen minutes south of Santa Cruz. [end]
