DANA is a Pali word meaning "generosity." Dating back to the time of the Budddha, there has existed an interdependency between those who offer the teachings and those who receive them. The teachings are given freely since they are considered priceless. Registration for retreats cover food, rental, transportation and other expenses. Any money left over is used to support dharma activities. None of this money goes directly to the teachers. Classes are also held on a donation basis. However, to allow teachers to continue their dharma work, support from the students is needed. At the end of retreats and classes there is an opportunity to contribute. Wheelchair access: please call ahead for information. [end]
