WINREAD.TXT for Windows A DA5.PIF file is included for use under windows. Place the files in a subdirectory - Example uses AUDCD 1. Open the Accessories Window. 2. Select File, NEW, on the Program Manager. 3. This gives New Program Object, with Program Item selected. 4. Click ok. This gives Program Item Properties. 5. Enter DA-5 in Description box. 6. Enter C:\AUDCD\DA5.PIF in Command line box. 7. Enter C:\AUDCD in Working Directory. 8. Select Change Icon. Ignore no icon message, scroll list and find CD icon. Select it. Click OK. 9. Click ok when the Program Item Properties window returns. 10. Position the DA-5 CD icon in your Accessories window. 11. Doubleclick to activate. If it is not setup for the smallest fonts, select fonts with the upper left corner pull down menu, select the small fonts, or another size. 12. Then adjust the window size to show the full width and bottom of the controls. Remember that the keyboard is used to Esc DA-5 or control it. Make the window active to use it or quit. The DA5.PIF file is set to allow DA5 to operate in the background. If Background is off, and Exclusive is on, the display is only active when the window is selected. DA5 is most useful under Windows when you want to access a second drive. We believe you will find that it works better than many players designed for Windows.
