To install Dungeon Chess do the following: 1. Determine a location on your hard-disk for Dungeon Chess. Open an OS/2 full screen or OS/2 window session. Make a sub-directory to hold the program files. i.e. [C:\]md DunChess 2. Change to that sub-directory and copy the zipfile into it. i.e. [C:\]cd DunChess [C:\DunChess]copy dunchess.zip [C:\DunChess]pkunzip dunchess.zip -o At this point, you should have a sub-directory containing these files: dunchess.exe \ dunchess.hlp > These are the core files needed to run. dunchess.ini / (The "ini" file will (re)create itself if not found.) dunchess.ico \ (Optional, used only when Program Object is created.) dunchess.bmp / (Optional, can be used as a desktop background.) readme.txt ==> The file you are reading now... 3. Exit the OS/2 session. 4. Open the Templates Folder. 5. Open the Folder in which to install the Dungeon Chess Program Object. (This is optional. If you want it on the Desktop, skip this step. ) (Recommendation: Use the "Games" Folder in the "OS/2 System" Group.) (Other Possibilities: "Main" Folder from LAN Server/Requester; ) ( "OS/2 Programs" Folder from Migrate Function; ) ( Make your own folder with the Folder Template.) 6. Drag the Program Object from the Template Folder onto the folder to contain the Dungeon Chess Object, or drag it to the desktop if that is desired. Release the Program Template. 7. Fill out the program notebook settings. 7a. Type in program name. i.e. C:\DunChess\dunchess.exe 7b. Type in working directory i.e. C:\DunChess 7c. Change to "General Settings" page of notebook. Change "PROGRAM" title to "Dungeon Chess". 8. Close notebook for Dungeon Chess Object. 9. Double click the object to enjoy Dungeon Chess.
