Main Menu CyberWare is a software company using Clarion and other products to write customised business software. We use the Libraries ourselfs on a daily basis. Our customers will demand a fix if they discover a bug. Usually we fix before they get a chance to find bugs. This readme file is only a general description of some of our utilities. Complete help will be included with your purchased copy. We only included a sample of the utilities available. You will find a complete list of our other utilities and Templates in this help file. Keyboard The PgDnKey is used to call the utilities everywhere in this Demo program. All utilities will allow you to Exit without modifying the contents of the current field. The cursor will stay on that field for you to continue editing that field. If a value is selected from the utility the cursor will move on to the next field. Date Selection This screen will ask you for a Date range that will be used in the next procedure. Users You need a Password before you will be allowed to Open a Dataset. <> Libraries Calculator This calculator used to be a public domain utility. You did not pay for it, but if you like it, use it. We have spent many hours fixing the bugs as the original copy was a danger to one's health! If you are on a field where you are allowed to enter a figure of your choice you may call it with the PgDn key. It will start with the figure from the field you came from. You may do all the calculations you want to and then store the value in Memory. Select the value for the field or Exit to leave the current value unchanged. The Memory value is available anywhere in your program. Get the value from CBWcalcTotal. You may use the keyboard or the mouse to operate the calculator. Calendar This calendar is a enhanced public domain utility. You did not pay for it, but if you like it, use it. We have spent many hours fixing bugs that created memory problems. As far as we know there is only one problem stil to fix. If the selected date is the 31st and you press PgDn to go to the last day of next month, one of two things will happen : 1) If the next month has only 30 days it will go to the 1st of the following month. Not a bug but sometimes anoying. 2) If there are 31 days in the next month it will end up on the 31st which is correct. The calendar will help you to enter the correct date in a Date field. Color Editor This is another user friendly utility that will make your customers happy. Various public domain color editors are available but none of them seems to be bug free! Copy Protection The Register utility is one of those must have's. This is not the normal program lock that you often see in use. In many Countries a big percentage of software is copied and not paid for. In order to combat this we really had to dig deep to find a solution that will not offend a paying customer. The only practical solution was to register a program by telephone. Depending on the customer and the conditions of sale you may now register a program in a number of ways. 1) 40 chr Name - case sensitive. Use this field on your reports if your program does not allow multiple datasets. 2) Date - the normal Clarion date range. This works well for demonstrations or if you do software renting. 3) PC ID - various calculations are done on the PC where the program is installed. If they copy it to another PC the utility will force them to re register. 4) Any combination of the above. NB Included you will find CBWREG.APP for you to control all your installed programs. Modify it the way you want to. You may encrypt the codes generated by this Register program so that the next programmer won't be able to register your programs. Mini Diary Waiting for your response to enhance it. Printer Editor This is the utility that Clarion was supposed to supply with CDD3. Unfortunately they built it into CDD3 so that only the programmer has any use of it. What about the users of your compiled EXE's ? Try this editor and see for yourself that this is the only one that really works. Use the *.CTL files on another editor and see what happens. Text file Viewer Find the RPTVIEW.ZIP file on the BBS for this super fast Viewer. You may print all or only part of a report or any text file. This is a must have utility!
