READ ME This package contains the evaluation version of MAXLIB For PB, a programming library for PowerBASIC 3.0. It provides an easy-to-use, yet sophisticated set of tools for adding EMS memory management to your PowerBASIC programs. MAXLIB For PB includes a complete file i/o emulator that uses expanded memory. If expanded memory is full or does not exist, it automatically falls back to using disk space. It also includes a set of tools to create and manage arrays in expanded memory, up to the limit of available EMS memory. To use MAXLIB For PB you must have a copy of PowerBASIC's release 3.0b or later. I have tested MAXLIB For PB with PowerBASIC 3.0a and found that because of bugs in that compiler, MAXLIB For PB is not stable. The files in this package are provided so that you may evaluate the suitability of MAXLIB For PB to your needs. You are allowed to use this package for 30 days, after which time you must either discontinue its use or pay a registration fee. Any fee you may have paid to acquire this package of files has no bearing on the amount of the registration fee or the need for you to pay for continued use of MAXLIB For PB. For detailed documentation on how to use MAXLIB For PB, see the files MAXLIB.DOC and MAXLIB.REF. For information about ordering MAXLIB For PB, see the files REGISTER.TXT and ORDER.FRM.
