    MAXLIB comes in two versions: one designed for the hobbyist
    programmer and the other for the professional developer.



    THE HOBBYIST PACKAGE


    With the hobbyist package you get:

      1) A disk containing the latest version of MAXLIB For PB.
         (The registered version won't print a copyright notice on
         the screen as your program ends.)

      2) A license enabling you to incorporate MAXLIB For PB in your
         executable programs and to distribute those programs
         without paying further fees or royalties.

      3) A bonus package of source code for 5 useful routines,
         written for the PowerBASIC 3.0 inline assembler.


    The hobbyist package costs $35, plus shipping and handling.
    Price good until December 31, 1997.




    THE DEVELOPER PACKAGE


    With the developer package you get:

      1) Everything in the hobbyist package.

      2) The assembly language source code for the latest version of
         MAXLIB For PB.

      3) Any maintenance ("bug-fix") releases that are required for
         your registered version of MAXLIB will be mailed to you,
         free of charge, when they are released.

      4) An expanded license governing the terms under which you may
         use the source code for MAXLIB For PB.  (Details at end.)


    The developer package costs $70, plus shipping and handling.

    UPGRADES

    MAXLIB For PB has two levels of upgrade.  The hobbyist upgrade
    contains everything in the hobbyist package for the most recent
    version of MAXLIB For PB.  The developer upgrade contains
    everything in the developer package for that version.

    Technical support for MAXLIB For PB is limited to e-mail and
    postal mail.

    Phone support is not offered at this time.  I must ask that you
    respect this policy and not call me on the phone.  If you can't
    live without phone support, MAXLIB For PB is not the right
    library for you.

    MAXLIB For PB comes with a money back guarantee.  If MAXLIB For
    fails to perform to your standards, just return your original
    registered disk (or your most recent upgrade disk if you have
    upgraded) and I will return your registration fee (or your most
    recent upgrade fee, if you have upgraded).  Shipping and
    handling costs are not refundable.




    THE FINE PRINT: MAXLIB SOURCE CODE

    If you were to register for the developer package, your use of
    the source code for MAXLIB For PB would be subject to certain
    restrictions.

    In general, you could make unrestricted revisions to the source
    code for your own use, except removing my copyright notice.  You
    could distribute executable files made with your revisions
    without further fees or royalties.

    However, you couldn't remove my copyright notice from the source
    code and you couldn't distribute the source code, or object
    files or library files based on the source code, with or without
    your revisions.
