Almanac Upgrade Information =========================== The information in this document applies to customers who have registered a previous version of Almanac. New customers should refer to the information contained in the REGISTER.TXT file. ----------------------------------------------------------- Changes to Previous Product Paths ================================= In the past, Almanac has been offered to customers as a Basic (shareware) package as well as a Premium (retail) product. The goal was to provide the product and price desired by customers with varying needs. The expanding features of Almanac and feedback from our customers has prompted us to make a few changes in our product packaging. The previous Basic and Premium registrations are being renamed to the Shareware and Commercial packages respectively. Absolutley NO benefits are being removed from either product path. Businesses and Organizations ============================ The Shareware registration is only available to individuals. Organizations who are currently registered as Basic customers will be converted to Commercial customers when they upgrade to version 3.5. Premium Customers ================= Upgrade notification has been sent by mail to all Almanac 3.x Premium customers who purchased Almanac 3.x before June 1, 1994. IMPORTANT!!!: If you are a Premium customer who purchased Almanac 3.x before June 1, 1994, and you have NOT received your upgrade notice, please contact our Sales Office at 800-777-7687 (U.S. and Canada only. All other countries please call 909-590-8522, or FAX to 909-590-2202). ----------------------------------------------------------- Shareware Upgrade Pricing ========================= The cost of upgrading your current Basic registration to a Shareware registration for Almanac 3.5 can be determined from the following table: Shareware Currently Registered Upgrade Fee -------------------- ----------- A) On or after June 1, 1994 Free (purchased < 90 days) B) On or after Sept. 1, 1993 $9.95 (Almanac 3.1) C) Before Sept. 1, 1993 $15.95 (Almanac 3.0 or earlier) ALL users who are upgrading can elect to purchase a user manual at a special upgrade price of $4 plus shipping. ----------------------------------------------------------- Credit Cards ============ Any customer who would like to use their VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, or Carte Blanche credit card can order by calling 1-800-777-7687 in the U.S. and Canada.
