VIEWING BEST BET RESULTS To see how CASH has been doing you can click on the View Best Bet Results button, or pull down the View menu and select the option: View BEST BET Results. CASH will use the filter settings from the preferences screen to select BEST BETS for every available week, and then check for winners and losers. The results are displayed by week, broken down into Spread picks and Over/Under selections. On the right side of the window you will see the weekly results (wins, losses, ties), and at the bottom you can find the season totals, including the total number of picks, total wins (%), and spread wins (%). The number of Betting Units is also displayed at the bottom of the screen, and represents the season totals if 100 dollars had been wagered on every pick. For example, during the 1993 season CASH finished +1480, which means if you had gone to Vegas and placed a one hundred dollar bet on every CASH pick, you would have finished the season with $1480.00. This features is valuable in that it allows you to play with various options on the Preferences Screen, then check out the season results. You can ask questions like, "How would CASH do if I adjusted all the scores down by 5%?" Using this method we determined that during the 1993 season CASH made better Spread picks using Season stats, but performed better on Over/Under projections using stats from the last 6 weeks. NOTE: If you want to use Recent Stats during the result calculations, you MUST turn on the "Automatically adjust data during loads" option on the Preferences Screen. If you do NOT turn this option on, CASH will use Season Stats for all its picks.
